In 2008 Panasonic re-vamped their mens shavers range - they are now all Pro-Curve shavers. The ES8101, ES8109 and ES8249 are all branded as nano-edge blade, multi-arc foil shavers with the ES8249 being the creme-de-la-creme of the entire Panasonic Mens Shavers range.
According to Panasonic testing in 2007 - the nano-edge blade shavers are the sharpest blades available and are positioned at the optimum angle of 30 degrees. The blades have been polished with nano-particles to give the men shaver the ability to shave even dense, firm and thick hair effortlessly.

Panasonic have created all their shavers with Wet & Dry abilities. This gives a great choice and convenience for any man who is utilising any of the Panasonic range of shavers. So all of the shavers can either be used dry, or with water and gel/foam. Each shaver can then be rinsed dry under the tap.
The ES8249 is the only quad-blade shaver by Panasonic and it is a fantastic piece of kit! It is undoubtedly the top of the range. The quad blade enables the ES8249 to be 30% faster on an average shave due to the 1.4 times the size area of contact. The extra blade is really a finishing foil that lifts the flat lying hairs from the skin without damaging it.
The ES8249 and ES8109 both come with the hygienic cleaning station from Panasonic. This user-friendly system will charge, clean and dry your shaver every day for you. They both also have a brilliant LCD display capability showing the percentage of charge that is left, showing exactly how much time you have left to complete your shave.
